Shimano XTR's new Trail version of its 11-speed drivetrain crank features two discs, the crank arms are asymmetrical - similar to the road Dura-Ace. This technology was developed based on studies of the distribution of forces, which are not evenly distributed around the circumference. The cogs are made of three materials: titanium, aluminum and carbon-reinforced plastic. The shaft is made of carbon, and the teeth are made of titanium, all of which will be reinforced with aluminum. The crank is made with Hollowtech technology, so the crank has low weight, high stiffness and strength.
